SW Cards Blog

— New module 2026.08.24.21.39: Blog post cards with the same Outer/Inner, Aurora, and heading-panel controls as SW Cards. Use this for new blog listings and website Insights rows. SW Blog Cards stays on existing pages but is unavailable for new content. Listing setup: HubSpot Number of posts per listing page = Posts to show + (Post start − 1). Smithworks listing defaults are 18 cards and Post start 2 → set HubSpot to 19. Infinite scroll works on website/landing pages only (not the native listing). SW Blog Cards
— Shipped 2026.08.24.21.39: Deprecated for new content. Use SW Cards Blog instead. Existing instances keep working; the editor help box names the replacement. Do not overwrite this module.
— Shipped 2026.08.01.10.23: Fixes a thin horizontal page scroll when the module shows a section heading (or content/CTA under the cards). Heading blocks stay aligned with the card gutters without widening the page. Hard-refresh after the theme update.

SW Blog Listing Hero
— Shipped 2026.08.24.22.30: The featured listing hero also stays off on tag URLs when HubSpot does not set the tag object (for example /blog/tag/…). Hard-refresh the listing after the theme update.
— Shipped 2026.07.31.19.13: The hero Read More button always opens the featured (or selected) blog post. Button text, style, size, and icon still come from Read More Button settings. After upgrading, hard-refresh the blog listing page and confirm Read More goes to the post—not back to the listing URL.
— Shipped 2026.05.21.10.10: Module Outer Spacing and Module Inner Spacing (plus max outer/inner width and optional outer backdrop/border) match the standard used on other Smithworks modules—use these for the full hero band and content column. Text Box Side Spacing (under Text Box Settings) still controls only the overlay text box on the banner-background layout; defaults are now 0 at all breakpoints. Side spacing and text box width now respond correctly at desktop, tablet, and mobile. After a theme update, reopen the module on listing pages if overlay inset or spacing looks off; saved outer spacing should carry over where the field was renamed.
— Migration: Upgrading from a copy older than 2026.05.21.10.10 adds new Style fields (outer/inner shell). Existing spacing values should map to Module Outer Spacing. New instances default Text Box Side Spacing to 0; existing pages keep saved values until you change them.
— Blog All detection, optional show on blog tag, template wiring; slug-as-title and path fallbacks for titles.
— SW Blog Listing now places this module by default (numbered pages and optional “All posts” link). Older themes may still use the legacy custom pager; ask your developer to align with master if you rely on Smithworks blog templates.

SW Body + Inset
— Shipped 2026.09.17.15.04: Optional Header Panel (around the section headings) and Footer Content (headings, rich text, and buttons below the wrap). Inset card fields sit in an Inset group; Show Inset stays outside that group. Inset buttons are labeled separately from Footer Content buttons. Hard-refresh after your theme update.
— Migration: After updating to 2026.09.17.15.04, inset subheadings, image, copy, and inset buttons move into the Inset group. Saved values should follow automatically. If an inset repeater looks empty, reopen the module and confirm those rows. Header and Footer start off until you add headings or Footer Content. A custom Inner corner radius that only appeared because the stroke override was on still falls back to theme Global Border Radius (same as 2026.09.17.11.04).
— Shipped 2026.09.17.11.04: Module Inner can use Effect (glass, grain, or pattern). Module Outer can use Animated motion, an Aurora overlay, or an SVG Overlay you can hide independently on Extra Large, Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile. Heading Auto color and alignment follow Content Colors / Content Area Settings (Desktop default left). Inset buttons include outline styles plus Simple Link custom colors. Override Module Inner Border Radius is now separate from the inner stroke toggle (default off = theme Global Border Radius). Hard-refresh after your theme update.
— Migration: After updating to 2026.09.17.11.04, a custom Inner corner radius that only appeared because Override Module Inner Border (stroke) was on now falls back to your theme Global Border Radius. Turn on Override Module Inner Border Radius and set the px value if you still want a custom radius. Existing Button Style choices stay as saved. Inset text/link colors already live under Content Colors → Inset Content from the prior update.
— Shipped 2026.07.30.21.35: Inset card text and link colors move to Style → Content Colors → Inset Content (card background/border stay under Inset Card Styles). Clearer labels for inset side/stack (Inset Position), and inset heading overrides now follow the inset heading fields—not the main headings. Default button link uses the standard Smithworks module documentation URL.
— Shipped 2026.07.30.19.25: New SW Body + Inset section—body copy wraps around an optional inset card (float left/right), instead of equal-height two columns. Control inset width, side, mobile stack order, and vertical align (top/middle/bottom). Style uses Module Outer / Module Inner (no height controls). Choose this when you want text to continue under a short callout card; use SW Pillar Section for rigid side-by-side columns.
SW Breadcrumbs
— Shipped 2026.08.24.22.30: On the blog listing, the trail is Home → blog name. Tag, author, and all-posts URLs add a current crumb (tag name, author name, or All Posts) with the blog name linked. SW Blog Listing includes the module above the hero. Hard-refresh after the theme update.
— Shipped 2026.05.27.15.16: Drag SW Breadcrumbs into any page section (no longer global-only). New Trail mode: URL path (website) builds crumbs from your URL—set Path root (e.g. /faqs) and Root segment label (e.g. FAQs) once per module instance; category pages like /faqs/websites show Home → FAQs → the page name. Blog posts still use the automatic blog trail when this mode is selected. Use Manual for custom middle crumbs. BreadcrumbList structured data outputs on site pages for URL path and Manual trails.
— Shipped 2026.05.20.23.04: New global breadcrumb module for blog posts and site pages. On blog posts you get a visible trail (Home → your blog name → post title) plus matching BreadcrumbList structured data for search. Trail mode defaults to Auto (blog trail on posts/listings; website pages can use your navigation menu). Edit once under Global content → SW Breadcrumbs, then publish. SW Blog Single Post includes the module above the hero. If spacing or colors look unchanged after a theme update, open global content and use Reset to default on the style groups you want refreshed—saved global values are not overwritten automatically.

SW Button
— Shipped 2026.09.17.09.48: Style now uses Module Outer (full-width band) and Module Inner (content width). Inner can use Effect (glass, grain, or pattern) or Inner Aurora. Outer can use Animated motion, an Aurora overlay, or an SVG Overlay you can hide independently on Extra Large, Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile. Button Style includes outline styles plus Simple Link custom colors, Hide Button Text (icon-only Simple Link), Icon Spacing, and Override Button Margins. Empty button text still shows Learn More; empty links still render as #. Hard-refresh after your theme update.
— Migration: After updating to 2026.09.17.09.48, a background that used to fill the full module width now sits on Module Inner (max-width box). Module Outer starts empty until you set it. If a section was meant to be full-bleed, reopen the module and move that fill to Module Outer Background. Inner spacing still reads your previous Spacing if Inner Spacing was never saved. Buttons with a blank label now show Learn More instead of disappearing.

SW Cards
— Shipped 2026.09.17.13.23: Footer Text Alignment now left-, center-, or right-aligns Footer Content rich text. It no longer follows Content Area heading alignment. Footer headings set to Auto already followed this field; footer buttons still use Button Alignment. Hard-refresh after your theme update.

— Shipped 2026.08.24.19.13: Optional SVG Overlay on the Outer band (turn it on in Style, paste SVG in Content, then appear and/or twinkle). Disable SVG Overlay hides it independently on Extra Large, Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile. Turn on a Desktop, Tablet, or Mobile image override and leave the file empty to hide that photo on Outer, Inner, and the Heading Panel. Hard-refresh after your theme update.
— Shipped 2026.08.24.13.53: Heading CSS Class now applies correctly (a HubL split bug could block the page from updating). Existing class values are unchanged.
— Shipped 2026.08.21.22.34: Animated Outer backgrounds no longer flash a static wave on a cold refresh—the motion fades in after a moment. Override Button Margins on heading or footer buttons no longer print CSS as page text. Hard-refresh after your theme update.
— Shipped 2026.08.20.20.37: Inner Effect (glass/grain/pattern) and Outer Animated paint correctly; clearer Style labels (Background Size, Space Above Buttons). Sample card photos use lighter JPEG defaults; card images load at sizes closer to how they display. Hard-refresh after your theme update.
— Migration: Upgrading to 2026.08.20.20.37 removes the old Footer Add Button 1 / Add Button 2 fields. Footer CTAs now use only the Buttons repeater. If a page showed footer buttons from those legacy fields only, reopen the module and add Buttons rows, then republish.
— Shipped 2026.08.20.15.01: The module-level CTA group on the Content tab is labeled Footer Buttons (the button repeater inside it is still Buttons). Label-only change—no republish required unless you want editors to see the new name immediately.
— Shipped 2026.08.19.13.18: Major Style upgrade—Module Outer can use Animated motion or an Aurora overlay; Module Inner can use Effect (glass, grain, or pattern) or Inner Aurora. Card colors adds a module-wide Effect option with an optional frosted rim (default 25px on cards). New Heading Panel Settings wrap the section heading, description, and heading buttons in an optional styled panel; use Heading Button Repeater for a row of buttons below the intro copy (Space Above Buttons defaults to 15px). Content Colors now separates Content Area text from Card text more clearly. Hard-refresh published pages after your theme update.
— Shipped 2026.08.01.09.59: Fixes a small horizontal page scroll (~15px) on full-bleed card sections by keeping the card grid inside the section width (no Bootstrap row side gutters widening the page). — Shipped 2026.07.30.19.25: Multi-row card grids use row gap between rows instead of vertical margins on every column, so the last row no longer leaves a small empty band under the module.
— Shipped 2026.07.29.20.43: Module Outer / Module Inner Style. Section color/image/video backgrounds stay on the full-width band (Module Outer Background); card content still uses Max Module Inner Width (Default ~1800). Old Spacing maps to Module Inner Spacing. After updating, hard-refresh pages; reopen the module if Outer vs Inner backgrounds look swapped.
— Migration: Upgrading from a copy older than 2026.07.29.20.43 moves your previous module background onto Module Outer Background Options and your previous Spacing onto Module Inner Spacing. Inner Background defaults to None. Confirm Theme Color sections still look full-bleed with Default inner width.
— Shipped 2026.05.14.09.47: Media section background and Media section padding under Style → Cards Layout → Icon Settings (defaults keep existing pages visually unchanged); per-card Override media section background; optional decorative band when No Icon and opacity is raised.
— Shipped 2026.05.09.10.59: Sample card icon images ship with descriptive alt text by default (previously empty), and the module falls back to “Card image” if a saved card has no alt set—small SEO/accessibility win for the SW module documentation page and any pages still on default sample content.

SW Cards Animated
— Shipped 2026.09.16.10.37: On phones, the icon dock under the stacked card now shrinks to fit the content width (icons stay at least 44px so they remain tappable, and they do not grow past the Resting size). Desktop hover path is unchanged. Hard-refresh after your theme update.
— Shipped 2026.09.11.11.28: Style → Card → Motion now has Animation Style: Pop (default) or Expand. Expand hides Bounce and adds Expand Timing: Linked (default, one smooth sequence) or Motion Breaks (pause at each step). New modules start with Resting Icon Size 65px, Override Card Icon Size on, and Card Icon Size 128px. Pages that already turned Override off keep the smaller path icon. On phones the stack still snaps (Animation Style is ignored). Hard-refresh after your theme update.
— Shipped 2026.08.26.18.39: Under Style → Card → Card Icon you can turn on Override Card Icon Size and set a pixel size for the icon inside the open card. Path and phone-dock icons stay the Resting size. Existing pages stay the same until you turn Override on. Hard-refresh after your theme update.
— New module 2026.08.26.12.17: Icons sit on a curve. Hover (or click/tap) opens one card at a time; closing plays the motion in reverse. Phones always stack (icon dock under the card; swipe to change). Use this for a short path of steps (1–6). For a normal grid or slider of independent cards, use SW Cards. New instances start with light-blue Outer color, Outer padding 0/25/0/25, Inner 50/0/50/0, and five sample items. Existing tester pages keep saved spacing until you change it. SW CTA Popup

SW CTA Popup Events
— Shipped 2026.09.29.16.42: closing the popup no longer blocks the page underneath. The panel fades away, and links, buttons, and images that were covered work again. Hard-refresh after the theme update. No setting change.
— Shipped 2026.09.24.09.37: add cta-popup-hide to the page Body Class (Page contents → Hidden modules → Body Class) and this popup stays closed on that page. Use it on the events list and on event landing pages. The same class also hides SW Popup Panel. Hard-refresh after the theme update. No setting change on pages that should still show the popup.
— Shipped 2026.09.16.15.30: new corner popup that shows one upcoming event from a Google Sheet. It uses the same popup chrome as SW CTA Popup and the same Sheet columns as SW Events Basic. Featured upcoming wins; otherwise the next date. Empty calendar: hide (default) or a Default CTA. Landscape photo matches the text column height; on small screens it stacks above the copy. Optional View All Events is a text link under RSVP, not a second button. Panel corners and photo corners are separate overrides (both off by default, so they follow the theme). This module does not have the full outer / animated Style stack.

SW CTA Simple Bar
— Shipped 2026.05.12.19.15: new CTA bars now start with a subtle Module Inner border by default: solid, 1px, #eeeeee at 100%, with a 3px radius. Turn Override Module Inner Border off when you do not want the module to emit its own inner border or corner radius.
— Border rendering cleanup: outer and inner borders use explicit width, style, and color output for more consistent opacity behavior in the HubSpot editor and on published pages.
— Shipped 2026.05.12.18.34: Module Inner now owns the full inner-layer border and radius, with Override Module Inner Border for theme defaults vs custom settings. Module Outer Border Position lets editors choose top only, bottom only, or both outer edges.
— Upgrade note: after updating from an older pre-May 12 copy, re-open important CTA bars and confirm inner border/radius and outer border position settings.
— Shipped 2026.05.11.17.10: Style → Module background now gives both the outer band and the inner layer matching top and bottom border controls—choose a Border Style, then set the weight and color. The outer and inner background-option dropdowns also use simpler labels like Theme Color, Custom Color, Gradient, Image, and Video. Existing pages keep no extra border until you turn one on.
— Shipped 2026.05.07.17.28: When the bar stacks on phones and tablets, the icon column centers above the message row for a balanced strip; on large screens the icon stays aligned to the start of its narrow column beside copy and buttons—no settings change required.
— Shipped 2026.05.07.15.15: in-page CTA band (optional icon, Content Area, Buttons repeater); Module Settings and Module background with Module Outer layered behind the inner bar (options beyond section-only styling—transparent outer image over section color, stacked backgrounds for depth). SW EGB Redirect Smithworks
— New Smithworks module. It stays hidden until someone clicks a link to #egb-access. The window asks for name, email, and the brief ID, then opens the brief when that page exists. If the ID is wrong, the visitor stays in the window. The not-found message can include a link. This module is only on the Smithworks site.
SW Phone Animation Ai Products
— Shipped 2026.09.11.09.54: Icon Size Mobile (default 56) sizes the cycling icons on the phone image. Desktop Icon Size still applies only to the hand-and-phone image. After a theme update, hard-refresh. Existing modules pick up the new mobile size; reopen Style → Animation Settings if you need a different percent.
— Shipped 2026.09.11.09.05: new section that types a line of copy while icons cycle on a phone. On large screens it uses a hand-and-phone image; on phones it uses a phone-only image. Add your own lines under Animation Items (each row is one sentence plus one icon). Timing lives under Animation Settings (fade, hold, pause). The default background is a wave image, not the animated outer option. This module is not on every theme — you will only see it in the module picker if it was installed for your site.
— After a theme update, hard-refresh. New instances pick up the wave image and sample lines. Existing pages are not affected until you add this module. Turn Override Mobile Icon Overlay on if the icon needs a different nudge or rotation on phones.
SW Careers Basic
— Shipped 2026.09.11.20.39: Job Cards are on by default (white card, light border). The accordion still opens inside each card. Turn Job Cards off for the previous stacked-row look. Optional Resubmit cooldown on the apply form is off until you pick a HubSpot form and turn it on. Accordion and job-list style settings you already saved still apply. Hard-refresh after the theme update.
— Shipped 2026.09.11.11.55: New pages from the SW Careers Page template start with this module under a Home-style hero (no buttons). Pick your HubSpot form in the careers module. Create a new page from that template to pick up the stack.
— Shipped 2026.09.10.22.58: new careers module for a job list plus an optional in-module apply form. Choose Inline Repeater (default), a Google Sheet, or a CSV File — not HubDB. Apply buttons either scroll to the form on the page (and fill position of interest) or follow a custom link. Show Form can hide the form panel. New instances start with heading Open Positions, Accordion 2, and a white centered form box. JobPosting structured data is included when hiring organization and a posted date are set; jobs missing those skip schema.

SW Events Basic
— Shipped 2026.09.11.20.50: new events module for a list of workshops or RSVPs plus an optional in-module form in a popup. Choose Inline Repeater (default), a Google Sheet, or a CSV File — not HubDB. Each event is an always-open card (image, title, date/time, location, teaser, RSVP). Leave the RSVP URL empty to open the popup (the form can receive the event title); set a URL to send visitors off the page. Past events hide from an ISO date (still shows on the day). Optional Resubmit cooldown on the RSVP form is off until you pick a HubSpot form and turn it on. Form Box Pattern (dots, grid, lines, or custom SVG) still shows after the popup opens.

SW FAQs Basic
— Shipped 2026.09.11.21.27: optional FAQ Cards (off until you turn them on). Each question is a white card with a light border. Combine with Accordion off for always-open cards, or Accordion 1 / Accordion 2 to expand inside the card. Existing pages stay as they are until you enable FAQ Cards.
— Accordion 1: the caret sits on the question, and answers line up with the question text (not the caret). When Only one open at a time is on, the first FAQ starts open. Hard-refresh after a theme update; Accordion 1 pages pick this up on the next publish.
— Shipped 2026.08.30.19.50: Accordion Mode now offers Accordion 1 (the original behavior) and Accordion 2 (full-width stacked rows with solid dividers and right-side plus/minus indicators). Accordion 2 supports theme display-size questions, optional question color, Font Awesome or custom SVG indicators, shared icon sizing, all-closed initial state, and optional short + long answers in one expanded region. The final row has no divider.
— Google Sheet FAQs now support optional page-path, group-key, and body-class associations, stable loading placeholders, near-viewport loading, and accessible loading status updates. Existing five-column Sheets remain compatible; Sheet data is public and browser-side filtering is not access control.
— Shipped 2026.08.06.18.17: new page FAQ module for Inline Repeater (default) or Google Sheet FAQs, with optional Accordion display, empty-state message or hide, and standard Headings controls. Prefer this for new page FAQs. The crawlable FAQ hub still uses SW FAQs Advanced HubDB.
— Default Module Outer Spacing padding is 0 / 25 / 0 / 25 (top / right / bottom / left). After a theme update, hard-refresh; new instances pick up the padding automatically—existing pages keep saved spacing until you change them.
— Google Sheet tip: if the FAQ list jumps while loading, set a Minimum Height under Module Height after the list looks right on a published page.
SW FAQs Simple
— Shipped 2026.08.06.18.17: deprecated for new content. Prefer SW FAQs Basic for new page FAQs and SW FAQs Advanced HubDB for the FAQ hub. Existing Simple instances keep working (HubDB or Inline Repeater). Default Module Outer Spacing padding 0 / 25 / 0 / 25.
— Shipped 2026.05.26.23.52: in HubDB mode, related-post links now use a dot separator (·) between titles instead of commas for cleaner scanning on FAQ answers with multiple links.
— Shipped 2026.05.20.23.15: When you set a Section heading and leave Output FAQPage Schema on, the structured-data block now includes that heading as the FAQ page name (helps tools like Google’s Rich Results Test show a title instead of “Unnamed item”). No editor field changes—publish after your developer updates the theme.

SW Header Simple

SW Header Mega

Five Menu Types: compact Dropdown (no photo); Dropdown + content; HubSpot columns; Custom columns; Custom menu (left rail swaps the right pane). Mega Panels attach to HubSpot top-level names — dragging those cards does not change header order. Extra Panels add items after the HubSpot menu (they do not show on the phone). Featured Image Layout is where the photo sits; Image Display is crop, height, and optional Desktop/Tablet files. Leave Desktop or Tablet Image empty to keep the XL photo, resized — empty does not hide it. On the phone every type uses the same hamburger drawer (logo, one button, plus/minus for parents). Featured photos stay off the phone. Publish after your developer adds the module to your theme; do not replace the global header until you intend to.

SW Helper Animation

The photo stays still; the glass card fades and slides in the direction you picked, with the copy. a-parallax-outer on the same module is fine. a-scale-in on glass is fade-only. Republish pages that already use the helper so they pick up the new CSS. Heading-only CSS Class fades are unchanged.
— Shipped 2026.09.10.10.36: Shimmer on headings plays once, then stops (add a-repeat to loop). New Enable parallax (off by default). Put a-parallax-outer and/or a-parallax-inner on the module’s Custom Classes — not on a heading. With no speed class, outer moves at medium and inner at slow; add a-parallax-subtle / slow / medium / fast to set both the same, or a-parallax-outer-* / a-parallax-inner-* per layer. On Smithworks’ live blog, editors can assign SW Blog Single Post Smithworks (no FAQ module) if FAQs stay in the post body.

It now starts loading the Google fonts you pick under Theme settings → Typography (body + H1) earlier in the page, which can reduce heading/text flicker when those fonts swap in. Confirm Typography is set to your Brand Kit fonts, then hard-refresh after your developer updates the theme.
— Shipped 2026.07.27.21.59: The theme header now prefers your Brand Kit favicon for the browser tab (domain favicon, then primary/Default), and only falls back to the older Settings favicon link if Brand Kit has no image. Theme: Open Graph (partial)
Included from the theme header. Adds og:type and a share image for social previews when an image can be resolved from the page, the first post on a blog listing, or the theme’s default Misc → Featured image.
— Shipped 2026.05.05.21.50: Blog listing pages can use the first post on that listing for the preview image when the listing page has no featured image. Set a default image in Theme settings → Content → Misc → Featured image for site-wide fallback. Publish the theme when your developer ships the update.
Theme: SW SEO Schema (partial)
Included from the theme header. Outputs Organization, WebSite, and homepage WebPage JSON-LD. Organization marketing copy is set per site in theme code (portal constants), not in Theme settings.
— Shipped 2026.05.21.15.16: Organization and WebSite description, logo width/height, optional social URLs, homepage WebPage on the site root. Your developer configures portal constants when the theme is updated; you still need Marketing → Email → Footer addresses and Content → Brand → Logos → Logo URL.

Theme: SW Blog Posting Schema (partial)
On blog posts only. Adds JSON-LD description from each post’s Meta description when HubSpot’s native BlogPosting omits it.
— Shipped 2026.05.21.15.16: Fill Meta description on each post and republish after the theme update. FAQs on posts stay in the post body (SW FAQs Simple), not a fixed template slot.
Theme: SW Sprocket Rocket test theme
— Shipped 2026.09.01.20.40: Theme Settings gains optional SW Button Overrides (Simple Link typography; White, Light, Black, Dark, and outline color overrides). All default off, so existing pages do not change until you turn an override on. The Theme Tester page lists the same 15 button styles used in modules. Hard-refresh the Theme Tester after your developer updates the theme.
— Shipped 2026.08.05.12.17: Brand Kit color swatches on the Theme Tester page now read Brand Kit values correctly (or show Not set when empty—no silent fallbacks). — Shipped 2026.07.06.19.07: HubSpot v4 form renderer submit buttons and fields on SW Form (and forms in other modules using macros.form()) inherit theme Primary/Secondary/Tertiary button colors and field border radius again. Theme: blog partials & templates
— Shipped 2026.05.21.15.16: Main blog index has a page-level H1 for SEO; /blog/all can use a self-referencing canonical when your HubSpot blog listing SEO setting and theme header are configured. Post hero banner images load with higher priority for faster LCP on updated themes.
— Author archive pages (/blog/author/[slug]): new layout with author bio at the top and a searchable, sortable post list (same controls as the “All posts” page). Listing hero is not shown on author archives. Post bylines still link to the author archive URL.
